Tiger Woods Arrested On A DUI Charge In Florida

Tiger Woods has been arrested at 3 a.m. on a driving under the influence charge in Jupiter, Florida.

According to the Palm Beach County's booking sheet, the pro golfer was booked at 7:18 in the morning on Monday. The booking sheet also listed the golf king as having an unlawful blood alcohol level.

Palm Beach County Jail records indicate Woods, who lives in Jupiter Island, was released from custody at 10:50 a.m. It has been confirmed that the golfer is no longer in custody.

Woods is the winner of 14 major titles and the only professional golfer to win four majors in a row. He has not played in a competitive tournament since withdrawing from the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in February due to issues with his back.  The 41-year-old had back surgery in April. It is his fourth surgery on his back in the past three years.

This is not the first time the champ has been involved in a series of unfortunate events.

In November 2009, the golfer was injured in a car accident in front of his home in Orlando, Florida. Soon after the incident, it was revealed that Woods had been unfaithful to his then-wife, Elin Nordegren, with a series of women. In the midst of the scandal, Woods took a break from professional golf and subsequently apologized for his multitude of extramarital affairs. Woods and Nordegren were later divorced in 2010.

A politician popularly known by the name 'Hamburger ' has been reportedly shot dead on the chest.

According to reports, he was allegedly participating in the ongoing primary election as a counselor for his ward.

It was learnt that unknown gunmen shot him on the chest during the election and immediately left the scene.

After the hospital personnel pronounced him dead, boys in the neighbourhood alledgedly burned down houses to protest against his death since he was a well known person

Union Bank Staff Murdered For Denting Another Man's Car

Pascal Chukwuemeka Nnorom, a staff of Union Bank of Nigeria, has been killed by one Joseph Udoh.
Pascal and his wife of 2 years, Priscilla, were on their way to attend the wedding ceremony of Pascal’s colleague in Elelewon area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, May 13, 2017, when the sad incident occured. 
According to Sun, Pascal’s journey to his untimely grave began when a Toyota Camry car, driven by one Joseph Udoh, from Anang in Akwa Ibom State, hit his Honda CRV SUV in Oil Mill area of the city, near the Eleme bridge. .

The deceased, who hailed from Eziudo Mbaise, Imo State, was said to have alighted from his vehicle and walked over to meet the driver of the Camry. He placed his hand on the door of the Camry, but Udoh allegedly refused to alight from his own car for them to resolve the matter.

Rather, he quickly wound up the glass, trapping Pascal’s hand and then sped off. In a chat with Sun, grieving Priscilla said: “He dragged him several poles before he stopped.” .

In the process of draging the victim, his body hit the hard pavement severally. His spinal cord and legs were broken and he became immediately unconscious and later died.

A mob prevent Udoh from escaping. They tortured him and were about to give him jungle justice before he was rescued by policemen. Priscilla described the husband as her best friend. “He was everything to me,” she added, sobbing profusely. .

According to the widow, one of the most painful aspects of the death was that her marriage to Pascal was yet to produce a child before his death. “When the mob was beating Udoh, he told them he was ready to die, as far as he had done what he wanted to do,” Priscilla said.

It was gathered that soon after her husband was confirmed dead, Priscilla fainted and had to be revived. Meanwhile, she has appealed to the government and the security agencies to bring her husband’s killer to book. “I want justice,” she said, wailing.

Married Woman Sells Her Children In Lagos

The policemen attached to Area M Command, Idimu, Lagos have arrested a housewife for allegedly selling four out of her five children to different buyers without the knowledge of her husband.

The woman simply identified as Vicky was arrested following a petition by her husband to the Area Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Austines Akika.

Police sources said the suspect was selling the children one after the other and successfully sold four, leaving out only one, PM express reported.


It was learnt that she lied to her husband that she took the kids to their relation until the husband later discovered she has sold them.

Her strange commercial activity was exposed after she sold the last child for N400,000 and her husband was tipped by a neighbour.

The husband reported to the police and she was arrested and detained at the Command cell.

She was said to have already confessed to the police while efforts were already being made to rescue the children and arrest the buyers.


It was reported that the woman was able to carry out the illegal sales without her husband’s knowledge because the husband, who rented an apartment in Idimu area of Alimosho local government, works outside Lagos, where he stays during the week and returns home weekend or monthly.

It was gathered that the woman told her husband that she took the kids to her relatives to cover her tracks.

The woman is still in detention while the police are carrying out investigations to locate the whereabouts of the children.

Ariana Grande is speaking out after Monday night's tragedy at the Manchester Arena, where she was performing.

The pop star released the following statement on social media, expressing her solitude and apologies to those impacted: "broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words."

How Herdsmen Slaughtered 7 Siblings In Niger After Father Lined Them Up

Niger State was thrown into mourning last week in separate attacks, gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen, struck in two different local government areas- Mokwa and Paiko, leaving 26  murdered.
Etogi village, Gbara Ward in Mokwa local government area of the state is a settlement of about 1,500 people who are predominantly fishermen.

The community had, for over 50 years, lived in peace with herdsmen settlers before the sour relationship  that escalated to the killings.



Vanguard gathered that the crisis started about four years ago over a grazing land. The land was said to have been  leased  to the herders by the villagers but controversy arose over the  ownership years later when the community wanted to use it for dry season farming, a development that did not go down well with the herdsmen who said they were not ready to vacate the land.
Because of the crisis, the Sarkin (head) of the herdsmen in the community, Tanko Yugudawas, was said to have been chased out of the village.




 The mission was carried out but with a vow from some of the Sarkin’s men  to avenge his humiliation. The opportunity allegedly came, penultimate Saturday, when a herder was said to have been  stabbed by one of the villagers over an argument and, in retaliation, the herdsmen mobilized  and killed several people.


Nobody expected  it from the herdsmen who were said to be armed with guns, daggers, knives among others and stormed the village as early at 5a.m on motorcycles and canoe and made straight to the community mosque where the early morning prayer, led by the Imam of the village, Alhaji Saidu Imam, was going on. Caught unawares, the suspected herdsmen started slaughtering the worshippers  in the mosque, starting with the Chief Imam. Those who managed to escape from the mosque were said to have been pursued, caught and  killed. The sporadic shooting in the mosque woke up women and children in the village and, as they also tried to escape, some of them, who came face to face with the gunmen, were murdered. For about two hours that the attack lasted, no help came due to the lack of access road and communication to Katcha, the headquarters of Katcha local government area.

Missing children 

While it was easy for the village adults to escape, the children fled in different directions. Five of the children declared missing  are suspected to have plunged into river Niger while trying to escape. Many of the adults also sustained varying degrees of wounds while fleeing the troubled spot. House to house killing Knowing that many of the villagers may have still been in their compounds, the gunmen were said to have stormed the houses. An eye witness told our correspondent that the house of the village Head, Bala Abdullahi Pog, was the first port of call. But he had fled.

In most of houses visited, the gunmen were said to have been  after cash and ended up collecting millions of Naira from their victims and also killed some in the process. The only woman killed, Zainab Suleiman, was said to have been shot because of her uncooperative attitude after she was asked to show the gunmen where the money of her husband was kept. The husband was said to be away to the mosque when the wife was killed at home for refusing to lead the gunmen to where their money was kept. It could not be immediately ascertained wether the husband was among those murdered in the mosque.

One prominent businessman in the village, Abdullahi Yanda, was said to be among those murdered in his bedroom even after he had given  about N3m  to the gunmen. Unlike the woman who was killed for preventing the attackers from having access to the money kept in her home, another woman was said to have been  spared for “co-operating” with them and leading them to where money in the house was hidden.

 Even then, the husband was  said to have been ordered to say his last prayer and killed in the wife’s presence and the money  taken away. The deputy village head, Alhaji Ahmadu Tella, aged 75, was allegedly traced to his bathroom and killed.

Man, seven children dead

One Soje Jibrin was said to have been killed along with his seven children. The whereabouts of his wife were not known as of the time of going to press An eyewitness told our correspondent that Soje was taken  in his residence and ordered to line up his children who were slaughtered one after the other before the assailants descended on him.

Innocent Passerby Killed By Stray Bullet Allegedly Fired By Police

A man identified as one Remigius Enwerem was on Friday, killed by a stray bullet allegedly fired by one of the policemen brought in by two brothers battling over the leadership of Banana Junction motor park at Amaifeke in Orlu Council Area of Imo State, with their younger sibling.

According to the Sun, the police team was allegedly brought by the Ozioma and Ozoemena Agubata group to apparently dislodge the boys of their younger brother Nkeonyere from the park.

It was gathered that the battle for control of the park between the three siblings started in February when another innocent passer-by was also hit by a stray bullet when the siblings also clashed. But it was learnt that Nkeonyere Agubata had spent his personal money to treat the gunshot victim to save his life.

It was further learnt that the two elder brothers, who allegedly have the backing of another local strongman (names withheld), were not comfortable with their younger brother’s control of the motor park.

With the ardent backing of the local strongman, Ozioma and Ozoemena stormed the park with a horde of thugs and about 40 policemen led by the Area Commander who promptly arrested some of the boys working for Nkeonyere. Recounting what led to the tragic death of Mr Enewrem, a source told Sunday Sun:





"The battle over the park by the three siblings of the same parents began last Sunday (May 14)  when Ozioma and Ozoemena with their boys came with about 40 policemen led by the Area Commander and arrested Chukwuebuka Amadi, Onyemauche Mba, Uchechukwu Okafor, Chinedu Okafor and Abraham who work for Nkeonyere at the park. After, the police had taken them away Ozioma and Ozoemena then put their boys at the park. But when the police left, Nkeonyere returned to the park with more of his boys and sacked the boys of his elder brothers from the park and took effective control."

On her part, the wife of the embattled chairman of the motor park, Mrs. Chiamaka Nkeonyere Agubata disclosed to Sunday Sun that in the early morning of Friday, the two elder brothers came to their house with armed policemen to arrest her husband.

"Around 5 am on Friday, Ozioma and Ozoemena came with armed policemen to our house and asked for my husband. I told them that he had travelled but they forcefully entered the house and after searching the entire house they did not show me whatever they took. But before leaving the policemen gave me a written note that my husband should report to the SCID as requested by the state Commissioner of Police, but when my husband returned from his trip he discovered that some money he kept in his room was missing."

She further revealed that one of their neighours had alerted them last Sunday morning that armed policemen in five Toyota Hilux vans who were accompanied by Ozioma and Ozoemena and their boys had already surrounded their house.

"When I received the call from our neighour I told my husband because we had already left for the market at Amaifeke at Banana Junction but as Ozioma sighted him around the market he rushed at him and tried to hold him so that the police would be able to bundle him into their van but as my husband was struggling to free himself from the grip of his brother, the leader of the police team ordered that he be shot and as one of the policemen opened fire, my husband was lucky to slip out of his hands and managed to dodge the bullet which hit Remigius Enwerem, who was just passing. But instead of the policemen to assist the victim they all fled and abandoned him in his pool of blood. It was later when my husband came back that he tried to rush him to the Imo State University Teaching Hospital but he died on the way and his body was later deposited at the mortuary."

When he spoke with Sunday Sun, Nkeonyere alleged that his elders brothers were being sponsored by the local strongman, who is being driven by greed. He implored the Inspector General of Police, the Imo State governor and the Commissioner of Police to save him from being killed as his life is under threat.

The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Ezike, who confirmed that the National Union of Road Transport Workers had a problem at the park, said that the Area commander of Orlu had already made some arrest and the matter was being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).

However, he claimed that nobody was killed and that peace had been restored to the motor park.

No, it was completely different. Idol was a musical show where we basically sang when we were asked to. But BBNaija was very different and besides, I wasn’t the only one who had been on a reality show. Efe, Bisola and Jon all had the experience.

 Why the N25million wasn’t the main motivation for her being on the show

When my mentor visited me on the show, he said winners do not go for the money. The money comes to them. Money is a motivational factor but it wasn’t really my goal.

The day the Kemen issue started was what marked my relationship with TBoss. When the housemates did not take her own side, I felt it wasn’t fair so I just wanted to hear from her. I was happy I was there for her all through the show. She never ‘rode’ me and even outside the house we are still friends.

Water Vendor Killed By Suspected Hoodlums In Plateau State

An innocent water vendor was killed by suspected hoodlums in Rikkos community, Plateau State. 

According to Abu Maigoro, CEO of Harufa Biomedical Services, the attackers came from a neighboring a community to attack rival hoodlums but ended up killing the water vendor who was said to be sleeping after a day long hard labour to earn a living.

Many others were injured in the attack. The rapid intervention by Neighborhood watch vigilante group and later with the combined team of security agencies, the situation was brought under control and the suspects were arrested. Read full report below: 

"In every community the forces behind peaceful coexistence are parents and law enforcement agency. These two elements have different roles but they furnish synonymous results in the society. In the first instance Parents are primarily considered to be the source of discipline, moral and virtue. While law enforcement are meant to safeguard, protect lives & properties and punish law breakers in accordance with law of the land.

Therefore, the two forces can make peaceful community if every one play its role accordingly.
However, the situation we found ourselves in recent days in Rikkos community was not only unfortunate, it has exposed our unwillingness to live in peace with one another.

The killing of an innocent water vendor by some underworlds triggered unwarranted tension. According to report, the attackers came from a neighboring a community to attack rival hoodlums but ended up attacking innocent water vendors who were said to be sleeping after a day long hard labour to earn a living. Killing one person, injure many others. Though, the rapid intervention by Neighborhood watch vigilante group and later with the combined team of security agencies, the situation was brought under control and the suspects were arrested. I must commend the warriors neighborhood watch for their courage.

Few days later another story was going round that those suspects were released from detention. What is not clear to me is the facts whether the court of law or the police associated their released. Whichever way they used indicates the danger in our society. Lawless in the high order, parents abuse the Amana given to them by Allah (SA). Children are not properly trained in good spirit, Children were not given adequate moral discipline and they were not given proper orientation and education. They have became dangerous to the society, they can kill at a will and their parents will connive with the rotten ones in force to bail them out.

Now the suspects that suppose to be in the prison are back to the society as innocent. I envisioned the killings may likely continue and the counter attacks may proceed to the next level. Everyone is a potential victim.

If our community continue this way where parents abuse and surrender their responsibilities and the security agencies pervert and misuse their task then the worse is yet to come"

SS 2 Female Expelled For Dating Classmate’s Dad And Teacher's Husband

A secondary school student, in one of the secondary schools in Delta State, have been expelled for allegedly sleeping with her classmate’s dad for N500, alongside her friend.

It was gathered that the girl, who once accused a corp member of r@pe, was caught  with the man by the town’s people when he came to pick her up before school was over.

Show Promoter and estranged husband to singer Tiwa Savage, Tee Billz, in a new interview with Saturday Beats, opened up on his suicide attempt and how he has used the experience to better himself and others.

In his words:

“The way I handle things now is completely different from how I acted in the past. I do better now because I know better. If I had gone through the experience before now, it probably wouldn’t make sense to me until I go through some challenging situations. But I thank God that I have been able to overcome all those through the guidance of my coach.
“I only recently understand what it means to have a purpose in life. I have saved many people from committing suicide even though I don’t come out to say it. I was suicidal myself but God preserved me so I could also save others. I just realised that He kept me to touch the lives of others. People surely have their opinion about me and the entire issue, but God sees my heart and knows how much of a new man I am.

Fued Between 2 Face And Blackface - faze Finally Speaks Up

Former member of the defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz, Faze has finally weighed in on the fued between Ahmedu Augustine aka Blackface and Innocent Idibia aka 2face.

Blackface recently instituted a Lawsuit against 2face, accusing him of song theft, sabotage, music royalties fraud amongst others.
Lawyers representing 2face responded, asking him to apologise within seven days for all the defamatory statements he has made against him and his manager, Efe Omorege, or be dragged to court. Blackface of course replied them, saying;

 "They are filled with evil, fuckery and should go to hell. What am I apologising for? Somebody takes your music and then you apologise? Is that for real? They took a lawyer from Oshodi bridge to write something for them. Illiteracy is around them. They are crazy."

Faze has now advised them to have a seat down between themselves and settle their issues. In an interview with HipTV he said;

"We are not boys anymore. Not Plantashun Boiz, we are Plantashun men. What I think is that 2face has played his part by keeping quiet about the situation, he's not talking about it a lot and Blackface, I think he's really bitterly hurt, but there are some things you don't have to take to the media. You just keep to yourself, you don't have to take it all out. I have told him. I speak to him on the phone, we argue about that all the time. I think he should cool down. And then on my other side, I feel that 2face should take up his phone one day and say Hey Black, howfar, make we see now. Make we try iron this about. I don't know what is actually going on. I have actually done my best to make things work out. We actually met and did a song together,. This is a secret nobody knows about. This was after the incident of that let somebody love you song. We recorded together and it was lovely and something we wanted to actually put out. Next two days, I'm seeing 2face saying Blackface has written something online. I said; what again? after the recording? 

"Both of them know what's going on. That's what I just believe in. What I just want them to do is find time to see each other. When they don't decide to seat down  together, I know that there's something wrong. I don't need to be there. It's something that they can do within themselves. What I would want is for Blackface to stop going online and doing all that. It's not necessary. He's tarnishing his own name. I've got love for him so much but that's the part I don't like. He should relax and focus on his music and let the thing go."

European Commission Slammed Facebook With $122 Million Fine

Today, the European Commission (EU) slammed Facebook with $122 million fine for misleading information about its $19 billion acquisition of WhatsApp in 2014.

According to the EU, Facebook said that the social network could not link the profiles of users on WhatsApp and Facebook, which has over one billion users.

But in 2016, WhatsApp updated its terms of service and privacy policy and included in the update, the possibility of linking WhatsApp users’ phone numbers with Facebook user’s identities.

The Commission after conducting an investigation said that ‘the technical possibility of automatically matching Facebook and WhatsApp users’ identities already existed in 2014, and that Facebook staff were aware of such a possibility.”

In a statement released by the European Union’s antitrust chief, Margrethe Vestager, she said:

‘Today’s decision sends a clear signal to companies that they must comply with all aspects of E.U. merger rules. And it imposes a proportionate and deterrent fine on Facebook. The commission must be able to take decisions about mergers’ effects on competition in full knowledge of accurate facts.’

In response to the fine, Facebook said it “acted in good faith” during its interactions with the European Commission, and that it “sought to provide accurate information at every turn.”

The statement added that

”the errors we made in our 2014 filings were not intentional and the Commission has confirmed that they did not impact the outcome of the merger review.
